DekoRRa Mock Rock Model 112 Fake Rock Cover

The DekoRRaModel 112 Mock Rock is designed for objects such as septic covers that are relatively wide and low to the ground.  A bit shorter than the Model 111, the Model 112 fake rock septic covers are geared for objects that run lower to ground level. This artificial rock looks great on any landscape and is a great accent for any garden or landscape area.  It can also function extremely well as a pond skimmer cover.

The DekoRRa Model 112 fake septic rock cover is one of our most popular options for homeowners looking to disguise unattractive septic's and risers that do not extend to far up from the ground. The model 112 is quite wide, yet not extremely high. It looks very realistic when placed out in the yard or any landscaped area.

If you want something that really does look like a real rock, then these fake rocks will definitely not let you down. The texture is rough and gritty, and the coloration varies over the entire exterior. Small flakes of organic materials are actually molded into the sides creating the look of extreme realism. Unlike cheaply made varieties, this hollow rock requires no maintenance. Everything is molded into the sidewalls. The texturing, the colors, even the UV inhibitors are all incorporated into the molding process. Nothing sprayed or painted on which would require any kind of upkeep.

The hollow and lightweight design makes it extremely fast and easy to use. Simply set it over the object you intend to cover, and use the included ground stakes to fasten the edges down. This provides protection on windy days, so the rock will not blow away.

Completely weatherproof, totally resistant to UV and impact damage, means you never have to worry about anything cracking or breaking the rock. Even string trimmers are of no concern. Available in four natural colors, sandstone, riverbed, fieldstone, and autumn bluff, these selections make it easy to blend in with your surrounding landscaping and flower beds.

If you intend to use this item to hide a septic tank riser or similar utility, you should consider venting the rock to provide airflow. As a general rule of thumb if the septic tank in your yard is vented, then any type of enclosure going over it should also include vents. Vents can be added using the drop-down menus next to the add to cart button. Install is free, and we paint the vents to match the color of the rock prior to shipment.

Q & A (8)

Q: Hi, I actually have 3 septic covers in my yard. All 3 are 30.5" diameter and 9 -10" high (2 of them are non- working ). If I use the rock model 112 will it work if I build the ground back up around it using dirt and stone and just use longer anchors into the ground? I don't mind using one of the larger boulders model 103 but I don't want my whole yard to be nothing but boulders.

A: Yes, you could add 3 to 4 inches soil/mulch/stone under the 112 Model and it will work nicely. The larger 103 would cover as is.
Q: We are trying to cover our bio fall on our water feature. The bio fall is tapered. INSIDE dimensions at the front: 30-3/4. At the back: 34-1/4. OUTSIDE dimensions at the front: 32. At the back: 35-3/4. We do have room on all sides to overlap, so I am thinking a 36x36 would work. Do you agree?

A: That's a tough call without seeing a photo. Can you please email us a photo of the bio fall?
Q: Can you tell us if you ship to Canada, what the cost in Canadian dollars would be for 3 Fake Rocks in either the 111 or 112 model, including the shipping and duty costs? Thank you.

A: Sorry, we do not ship fake rocks to Canada, HI or AK.
Q: does the staking system keep a child from pulling the rock up?

A: Yes, but the stakes are primarily for pinning the rock down to prevent the wind from grabbing it. To make it more child-proof you might want to go with longer metal stakes that will be more difficult to pull out.
Q: How much does it weigh?

A: The dekorra Model 112 Fake Rock weighs about 12 pounds.
Q: I like the low profile of this model but need a different size. Do you have any that are approximately 47" long by 33" wide. The height doesn't matter. Thank you. Sonja Massey

A: Sonja, for 47 x 33 you would need to go with the Model 104 fake rock. We do not have any other options that are that wide.
Q: Can a 250lb man walk on this without crushing it?

A: The Model 112 Artificial Rock, like all the DekoRRa Models, is made of an extremely durable polymer that will not crack or break. If a 250lb person stepped on a 112 that didn't have anything under it, the rock would just bow/flex and then regain it's shape once the weight is off it. If there's a septic tank or something under it it would do the same but not bow/flex nearly as much.
Q: Will this artificial rock cover a septic tank with a junction box on the side? We have one of the green plastic septic risers with a grey box on side. UGLY!

A: Yes, the Model 112 Fake Rock is a dandy for hiding those ugly septic tanks with junction boxes but you need to make sure you take a diameter measure (diagonal across top) and include the junction box as part of that measurement before consulting the interior dimensions chart. If the Model 112 is too small, check out the Model 111.
